'At Hollywell Everyone Matters'

Enrichment

At Hollywell Primary we see enrichment as a part of every child’s educational experience.

At Hollywell, we strongly believe that that learning extends well beyond the classroom. Education is more than just mastering English and maths – it’s also about enrichment and inspiring experiences that extend children’s learning through new encounters and opportunities. We want to help all children to grow!

Enrichment and inspiring experiences give children opportunities to try new and varied activities that may not strictly fit into the curriculum, but that develop our character. By ‘character’, we mean a set of attitudes, skills and behaviours – which we live out through our Hollywell values and learning behaviours. We believe that this enables success in school and beyond.

They help to teach life skills that benefit children beyond the classroom, and we aim for our children to be responsible, confident members of the community, who are willing to take risks, think critically and reflect and are prepared for the next steps.

Enrichment Activities

At Hollywell, the children will have opportunities to take part in varied, rich experiences throughout their time at school. This could be sporting events; celebration days; maths and science events, hanging their artwork in a gallery; dancing or singing at a festival; community cafés, gardening and many more. Whether a child is showing courage by performing a line in a play or supporting pupils in a leadership role, it is these moments that create the memories and the magical moments connected with learning at Hollywell.
