How did we get started?

In the spring of 2017 we used some of our School Sports Grant to establish a pupil led 'Sports Crew'. The aim of the sports crew was to help with the overall development of organised sport within our school.

Since 2017 the sports crew have been responsible for organising and running our own 'Dinner time Football Tournament' where they have devised spread sheets, collated scores and player ratings and organised the fixture lists and refereeing of matches over the dinner period.

They have also been responsible for devising and implementing their own 'Fun-tastic' activities to engage KS1 pupils over the dinner period.

What's been happening this year? 

Donning their new Sports Crew badges this years team has been responsible for organising indoor games and activities for their own classes throughout the winter months of 2022. They received a staff coaching session, in which they learned how to use bibs and cones in a variety of ways to promote active games during morning and afternoon break times.

Additionally, with the input of class council, the sports crew have been involved in steering the direction of our extra curricular sporting provision this year. 

What in store for next year? 

Keep an eye on the website for next years objectives, I can't say too much other than next year could be the most exciting yet for our sports crew...
