This week, in school, we will be learning how hard the war was for Jewish people, and minority groups, in Nazi Germany and occupied countries. Home learning concentrates on the Holocaust too. I do hope that you will be able to talk about this aspect of history together - parent/carer and child - as the content, obviously is very sensitive and upsetting. However, it is important to learn about such persecution as it demonstrates the dangers of prejudice, discrimination, racism and intolerance.

Our Maths activities centre upon the revision of addition and subtraction of fractions. I have uploaded a lot of work for you to complete so, even if you may not have forgotten the strategies involved,(and I hope that you haven't!) you can then work on your overall stamina to keep to a task in hand and achieve good results. It is essential to mark your work carefully and to correct any mistakes. Working on redeveloping your work ethic (if you feel that you have lost this during this time of lockdown) will help you to stand in good stead for secondary school. 

Did you read in the news that Vera Lynn died last week, aged 103? If you fancy doing something a bit more uplifting, please research her life story or learn one of her songs.
