Hollywell Woodland Classroom
After successfully receiving a donation from Tesco's Bag of Help Scheme, Hollywell has built this amazing Outdoor Classroom in the school woodland area. It looks fantastic and the children will benefit from learning in the forest all year round. Huge thanks to Mr Rauch, PermaRoof Uk and many others who helped with this project.
Since its construction, our woodland classroom has provided an excellent base for our Forest School adventures in EYFS, KS1 and KS2.
It also serves as a space from which to deliver a range of outdoor learning opportunities, including science (from soil investigations to mini-beast spotting), ephemeral art, DT (from the building of dens to the use of tools), English through storytelling, and PSHE through the teamwork and cooperation that all these activities involve……and for the past couple of years, Santa Claus has used it as his very own grotto!
